House Bill 58: The Political Party Act (Revised II)

Purpose: In order for political parties and organizations to be created, and function transparently and to protect regional security.

Author(s): West Kronisia, co-authored by Salibaic and Tigslarlowducken.

Article 1: Definition of a political party and registration
1. A political party in Force shall be defined as an organized group of Force citizens which have the same ideology, or who otherwise have the same political views, and who field candidates for elections in an attempt to get them elected and thereby implement the party's agenda.
2.  In order for a party to be officially recognised it must meet the following criteria:
2.1. The party must publish an official party manifesto clearly displaying its core beliefs and policies.
2.2. The party must contain at least a party chairperson or leader, and another Force Citizen.
2.3. The party shall define its officer positions within the party.
2.4. They must make membership requirements and officer positions clear on their party page.
3. If these requirements are not met, the party shall be revoked.
3.1. If a party is revoked it shall neither appear on any official government documentation nor be classified as an applicable party on elections ballots as indicated in 1.1. Article 4.

Article 2: Party Leadership
1. The chairperson or leader of the party shall be responsible for party administration.
2. All other positions shall be defined responsibilities and elected or appointed by the party itself.

Article 3: Parties in regional elections
1. A candidate must clarify in their candidacy announcement for any office what parties, if any, they are affiliated with.
2. Parties may decide independently how they choose candidates for elections.
2.1. Constitutional election law applies to all elections, including those in political parties.

Article 4: Ballots
1. All candidacy announcements shall be set out as shown in 1.1.

[Political Party or Independent (Unless announcing candidacy for Justice)]
1.2. Voting shall be a carried out as described in the constitution.

Article 5: Rules and Regulations for Parties

1. Parties must release an up to date membership list once per month.
2. Before each elections each party must state their nominated candidates.
3. No Foreign Political Parties shall be allowed to operate inside the Union.
3.1. Any party found or suspected to be exerting foreign influence in Force will be examined by the Court and Founder, after which its members may be tried for espionage and/or any other relevant crimes under the Constitution.

Article 6: Repeals
House Bill 51 (Political Party Act (Revised)) is hereby repealed by this bill.

This bill has passed a house vote, and is awaiting signature from the Prime Minister. This bill shall be called House Bill 58.
