Executive Orders / Executive Order: Executive Restructure

I hereby mandate the following changes to the federal government:

NEW STRUCTURE:

Internal Affairs Ministry - in charge of welcoming, information, history, etc
Foreign Affairs Ministry - in charge of diplomacy
WA Affairs Ministry - in charge of WA policy and coordinating votes
Immigration Ministry - in charge of recruitment

Each Ministry will have a permanent secretary who works with the Minister to implement and carry out policy, this includes the abolition of directories

Culture Commission - a separate body in charge of capital events and intra-Union events, when they do happen
Roleplay Commission - a separate body in charge of the Union Roleplay and RP policy
Media Commission - a separate body in charge of the production of the Force Flyer

The commissions shall each be led by a chair appointed by the Prime Minister with the culture commission being made up of the club leaders and the roleplay and media commissions being made up of hired staff

House Bill X: The Simple English Act

Author(s): Battadia

Purpose: In order to improve the effectiveness and accountability of the public service by requiring their communications to be clear and accessible to the public.

Article 1: Definitions

1. "Simple English" is defined as language which the intended reader can easily understand after 1 reading, and follows the Simple English Wikipedia guidelines.

2. "Government communication" is defined as any communication from the Federal House of Representatives or the Executive branch of the Federal government which is delivered to the public, unless said communication is already in Simple English.

3. "Office of the Copier" is defined as the author of this act, Battadia, and/or any other personnell whom he deems necessary.

Article 2: Regulations and procedure

1. All government communications must have a copy made that is written in Simple English.

2. In the event that the government official writing the communication is unwilling or unable to supply a Simple English copy of the Communication, they may request a copy from the Office of the Copier.

Constitutional Convention

Transitional Provisions

Upon the passage of a new Constitution, these provisions shall take effect:

1. All federal and regional government officials shall hold the offices in which they currently serve, so long as these remain legal positions.
2. All currently elected House Representatives shall hold their House offices, even those which no longer exist, until the conclusion of the next general election or until otherwise disqualified by a court of law or relevant vacancy law. Vacant offices for these positions may also be filled, and those individuals appointed to these vacancies shall continue to serve for the same period.
3. All laws, except state constitutions or the equivalent, passed prior to the enactment of a new Constitution shall cease to hold legal effect.
4. All existing state constitutions or the equivalent shall automatically become those states’ official charters.
5. Heart, RGBN, Prudentia, and [the] Citizens Alliance of Democracy remain states.
6. The New Kingdom, Canterbury, Hyperion, Dot, Power, Arcem, The New United Commonwealth, and Marist Federated States remain territories.
7. Any criminal sentences currently being served shall be served for the duration for which they were issued. Any sentences issued lasting more than two years shall be reduced to two year sentences.
8. The new Constitution shall come into effect once the House has passed the Penal Code, which shall be done in the same manner that the new Constitution allows for the amendment of that code. The House is legally required, under the penalty of law, to pass a Penal Code within one week of the new Constitution’s approval.
