House Bill 31: House Speaker Election and Transition Procedures(Revised)
Purpose: To create procedures for House Speaker Elections
Article 1: Election Procedures
1. Elections shall begin with candidacy declarations, which shall be open for 2 days.
1.1 If only 1 candidate has declared then they shall become speaker without holding a debate or vote.
2. Following this, a debate shall be held for 2 days.
3. The last stage shall be voting, which shall be held for 2 days or until everyone has voted.
Article 2: Incumbent House Speaker
1. If the previous House Speaker is re-elected to the House, they shall continue to serve until after a new election is held.
2. If the previous House Speaker is not re-elected to the House, the Founder shall serve as Speaker until a new election is held.
