The Minister of Foreign Affairs may face a diplomatic crisis or particularly sensitive issue that requires a rapid and unified response.
Here are some guidelines for how to deal with an event of this nature, should it arise:
- Urge all Cabinet members and Ambassadors to avoid making any statements on the situation prematurely
- Inform the Cabinet of what has happened and determine our official position on it
- Write a statement that Ambassadors can distribute to their embassies, based on this position
- Provide Ambassadors with additional information on the event and our position, so they can answer any questions that come their way
- Ensure, above all, that our response is rapid, unified, and unwavering

Etiquette Guide:
- When speaking to foreign regions, it’s important to remember to talk in a respectful manner, but at the same time be neutral. It is very crucial to stay neutral in most situations, as you could accidentally create a bad name for your own region.
- When answering questions, make sure to do it in a respectful manner. Even if the questions may be difficult or frustrating to answer.
- When talking to officials in the region, make sure to answer questions they may have, this includes questions about the Union.
