House Bill [TBD]: House Election Act May 2022
Purpose: To call elections for vacant house seats and ensure representation across the Union

Article 1: Elections

1. All currently vacant house seats shall be scheduled for election using the election rules as stated in Article H 2.2.
2. This shall only apply to constituency seats as specified under Article H Section 5.

I hereby designate that all forms of law must be published on forums for record-keeping. This may be done by linking documents in a forum post or by publishing the documents in full pertaining to the law. This shall come into force on the 20th of April 2022.

House Bill 68: The Political Parties and Political Campaigning Act (Revised)
Purpose: To establish a formal process of the registration of political parties, and to make provisions about election law and the conduct of political campaigning.
Author(s): Sir Salibaic and Battadia. Previous versions under the Political Party Act were authored by Sir Lashnakia, West Kronisia, and Alemputo.

Article 1: Definitions

1. For the purposes of this act, the following definitions have been applied henceforth:

Unofficial Political Parties (UPPs) - These shall be defined as political parties that are not officially registered under this act.

Registered Political Parties (RPPs) - These shall be the official term given to parties registered under this act.

Party Members - This shall be the official term given to citizens who are members of registered political parties under this act.

Independents - This shall be used to define anyone who is not a member of a registered political party.


Article 2: Registered Party Regulations

1. To receive status as a registered party, a party must meet the following criteria:

1.1. The party must have a unique name that cannot mislead voters.
1.2. The party must declare its ideology.
1.3. The party must declare its membership requirements.
1.4. The party must declare its leadership positions.
1.5. The party must contain at least a single member.
1.6. The party must declare its official/endorsed candidates in elections.
1.7. The party must not be an interregional political party outside the Union.
1.8. It shall be a criminal offence to display false information that may mislead voters when meeting the criteria listed.
 
2. The party may have an emblem or logo, however, this cannot be the exact same as that of another registered political party and may not mislead voters.

3. The party shall be legally mandated to release an up to date membership register at least once per month, otherwise, it shall lose its official status. It must also be publicly available to all citizens and the Founder must be informed of this registered when updated.

4. If a registered party fails to keep up with the requirements as described in this article, its registered status shall be revoked.


Article 3: Official Documentation

1. The Founder shall be legally mandated to keep an up to date register of all RPPs. This register must also contain the membership of each political party.


Article 4: Party Elections

1. Constitutional election law applies to all elections, including those of political parties.


Article 5: Union Elections

1. A candidate in an election must state their party affiliation if they are standing with a registered party. Otherwise, they shall register as an independent.
1.1. Failure to do shall make the candidate liable for criminal prosecution for misleading voters.

2. During an election, no party may send more than one telegram to each region in the Union, unless the additional telegram(s) do not pertain to campaigning.


Article 6: Repeals

1. House Bill 59 is hereby repealed.

I hereby enact that all territorial recruitment programs (including manual recruitment, API recruitment, and stamp recruitment) shall come under the authority of the federal government, in particular the Ministry of Immigration. This shall include Canterbury, The New Kingdom, and Prudentia.
